Oura Ring 4 !

Wearable technology and health tracker

When it comes to wearable technology, immediately the smart ring comes to mind!  A top brand in this category is no doubt the Oura Ring! It’s sleek, effective and invisible to your day to day hustle, which is what all technology should be, here is our review of the Oura Ring:

Pros:

  • Comfortable design – The ring is slimmer and lighter than previous versions, making it easier to wear all day and night!
  • Top-notch sleep tracking – The Oura Ring 4 excels at monitoring sleep patterns, including heart rate variability, oxygen saturation, and skin temperature.
  • Weeklong battery life – Unlike many smartwatches, the Oura Ring 4 lasts up to 7–8 days on a single charge.
  • Holistic health insights – Tracks stress levels, movement, and 40+ types of exercises, providing personalized health guidance.
  • Discreet and stylish – Available in multiple finishes, including Black, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold, blending seamlessly with everyday wear.

Cons:

  • Expensive – The Oura Ring 4 starts at $349, making it pricier than some wrist-based fitness trackers.  But as we say in some of our review … you get what you pay for!
  •  Subscription required – Many of its advanced features require a monthly fee, which adds to the overall cost.
  • Limited workout tracking – While it monitors activity, it lacks the detailed metrics found in wrist-based fitness trackers.
  • No notifications – Unlike smartwatches, the Oura Ring 4 does not support notifications or direct interactions with your phone.
  • Sleek charging system – The table charger fits seamlessly on the dock, and is almost great desk art.

Overall:

Overall we recommend the Oura Ring 4.  It gets the job done, attractive on the hand and as we mentioned, invisible once put on which all good tech does!!!!

Apple Watch - Series 10!

Apple Watch

One can say that the cornerstone of wearable technology’s insert into the every day life of the general public intensified with the launch of the Apple Watch!  At the slightest turn of your wrist you now emerged yourself into the suit of James Bond, the armor of Wonder Woman, Power Rangers and if you really get drastic … the Jetsons!  Here we take a look into the newer version of the watch, the Apple Watch 10:

Pros:

  • Thinner and lighter design: More comfortable for all-day wear and sleep tracking.  Fits well under clothing and emerges with little effort when needed.

  • Larger display: Easier to read notifications, messages, and apps.

  • Wide-angle OLED screen: Brighter and more readable from different angles.  Important when needing fast access during that presentation!

  • Sleep apnea detection: FDA-cleared feature for tracking breathing disturbances.

  • Voice isolation: Excellent call clarity even in noisy environments.

  • Music playback: Can play audio directly from the watch speaker.  Awesome in the gym.

  • Polished finishes: Jet Black aluminum and titanium options add a premium feel.

  • Fast charging: Reaches ~80% in about 30 minutes.

Cons:

  • Same battery life: Still rated at 18 hours, which feels outdated for a 10th-gen device.

  • Blood oxygen sensor disabled (U.S.):  Hopefully a feature that is coming soon.

  • No major performance boost: S10 chip is redesigned but not noticeably faster than S9.

  • Thicker bezels: Slightly more noticeable than previous models.

  • Pricey titanium models: Premium finishes come with a steep cost.

Overall:

Overall we recommend the Apple Watch 10.  It’s loaded with technology that is functional and timely (no pun included).  But of course it performs more efficiently in the apple ecosystem but still pulls its weight outside of it!

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra

Now Samsung holds noting back in the more rugged version of their smart watch.  Now although it screams safari … you can also see project managers across the corporate landscape flashing this during read out sessions!  I mean to compete with the iPhone, you have to come to play and we feel Samsung has done just that with this version.  See our review below:

    • Bright Display: 3,000 nits AMOLED screen is easy to read in direct sunlight.

    • Quick Button: Customizable for workouts, flashlight, or emergency siren.

Cons:

    • Cost: Priced at $649.99, it’s Samsung’s most costly smartwatch yet … but like we say in some of our review, you get what you pay for!

    • Bulky Design: The squircle shape and 47mm size may feel oversized for smaller wrists.

    • Limited Compatibility: ECG and blood pressure features only work with Samsung phones.

    • No Rotating Bezel: A fan-favorite feature missing from this premium model.

    • Underbaked Features: Some AI tools like AGEs Index and Energy Score need refinement.

    • Only LTE Model Available: No Wi-Fi-only version, which may be overkill for casual users.

Overall:

Overall, another win for the smart watch community … a power watch with tons of interaction, but at a premium at that!  We would recommend, but only of the price is not an issue as you may find more affordable options in other models!
